Keynote Speaker: Karen Wooley

We are delighted to invite Professor Karen Wooley to give the keynote address at NORM 2027! A Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at Texas A&M and an Oregon State University alum, Prof. Wooley is a leader in degradable polymer synthesis. Her lab develops novel degradable polymers using natural products. These polymers pave the way for sustainable materials that break down after use with minimal harm to the environment.

Prof. Wooley has made waves in both academia and industry. She plays a major role in two different tech companies: she is the Chief Technology Officer of Teysha Technologies, Ltd, and the President and co-founder of Sugar Plastics, LLC. She has also earned numerous scholarly accolades, including the Linus Pauling Medal, the William H. Nichols Medal, and the Hill Prize in Physical Sciences.

It is an honor to have Prof. Wooley back on the Oregon State University campus where her academic career began. We eagerly anticipate her presentation!
